Autumn at the Alpenstern
September to All Saints' Day

When the mountains turn golden

The paths are almost entirely yours

Clear air, peaceful paths, warm light in the valley. Autumn in Damüls has a tranquillity all of its own – and the Alpenstern is the perfect place to round off the day. Hiking trails that hardly anyone knows about in September. A spa area with plenty of space. And an evening well worth spending.

After the summit.

The Kingdom of Heaven.

From mid-September, the alpine pastures are closed – and the Alpenstern is entirely dedicated to its guests.
770 m² of wellness facilities, an afternoon snack in the lounge, and sauna infusions to round off the day.
Tranquillity that feels like a breath of fresh air.

Infinity pool

In autumn, with a view of the mountain landscape’s final warm colours. Indoors and outdoors.

Sauna infusions

Guided steam sessions in the Finnish panoramic sauna – just the thing after a day’s walking.

Exfoliants & Treatments

Autumnal skincare treatments to soothe the skin after exposure to wind and mountain air.

Afternoon snack

Available daily at 1580 from mid-September – that quiet moment between a walk and the evening.

Yoga with Miri

Mirjam Büchel leads morning and evening sessions for anyone who wishes to start the day in silence.

Peace & quiet & a place to retreat

770 m² of wellness facilities, Leading Spa Award 2023 – and more space in autumn than at any other time of year.

Summit Savoury

An evening that takes place just once a year – and only at the Alpenstern. The Summit Savoury is the culinary highlight of the autumn: Sandro Abel’s cuisine, Max’s cellar, a table for guests with a taste for fine dining.

The season dictates what’s served on the table. Maximilian Steinfeld – Vorarlberg’s Best Sommelier 2026 – decides what goes into the glass.

Day walks.

A wine cellar in the evening.

Head chef Sandro Abel cooks with whatever autumn has to offer. At the Genusshalde restaurant – awarded two Gault-Millau toques – and as part of the five-course evening menu, which is included in the stay for hotel guests.

Over 2,500 wines. Winner of the Wine Spectator Award and named Wine List of the Year 2026 (Gault Millau). Max knows just what goes well with an October evening.
