This describes the Alpenstern as it is, as it appears. A retreat at the top of the Damüls mountains that promises relaxation, enjoyment and genuine hospitality. Casual and relaxed, yet stylish. A serious promise that you can always keep. When you make contact with the Alpenstern team, when you savour the excellent food, when you take a look at the exquisite wine list, when you stay in the stylish rooms ...
In the 1980s, Bertram Bischof turned the former mountain farm with a few guest rooms into something special with the first floor showers in the whole village. Later, showers were added in every room and finally the Haide guesthouse was built with even more rooms. In 1997, it was converted into a four-star hotel and renamed the Alpenstern. In 2019, work began on the conversion/new construction of the Alpenstern as you can see it today. And even more is planned.
At the Alpenstern, we work with nature and use resources very responsibly out of conviction. For example, we built the house with a lot of local brown ash, we don't even need a car for ski-in/ski-out, which could produce exhaust fumes, and of course we follow a sustainable energy concept. We also pay attention to regionality when it comes to food and what is left over is not thrown away, but either passed on to nearby farms as animal feed or converted into energy.
